Oh darling, I felt like I waltzed into a festive lodge! The cozy king suite had all my needs covered, including a lovely area to sip my tea while looking at charming decorations.
I struggled with the front door like it was a game of Twister! And let’s just say the shower switch could use a user manual—who knew a warm shower could turn into a puzzle?

The King Room was a nice surprise, far cozier than I expected from the slightly dingy corridor leading up to it. It had a charm that made me feel at home not long after I walked in.
The entrance to the flat could use a sprucing up—walls and skirting boards looked in need of some paint, and the flooring near the bedrooms wasn't in great shape either. The shower design left much to be desired. it’s not much fun having water splash everywhere after a quick wash. with only one wardrobe in our room, it’d be helpful to have a clothes rail on the other side for easier access. I found the road felt a bit isolated walking there late at night, which was unsettling during my first evening.

Kew vibes 🌿✨
The afternoon tea was a lekker experience at the restaurant—totally vibey, and those cakes? Just wow! Plus, I had the full English brekkie every morning, which was a proper tosser, lekker portions! The staff were so friendly, helped me carry my bags like true chommies.
Just a pity the place was a bit noisy at times, ag man.

During my stay, I really enjoyed the afternoon tea experience at the restaurant, which had beautiful decor. The King Room was spacious, clean, and equipped with great amenities like a coffee machine. The on-site dining was a highlight, with delicious options like the full English breakfast and their famous egg tart. Being in close proximity to Kew Gardens made exploring the area effortless and enjoyable.

the so-called king room was only slightly better than a dungeon, with noisy street traffic disrupting any hope of sleep. expeced a complimentary welcome gift for enduring that madness, but apparently, special guests don’t exist here. staff could also use an upgrade in service, as I felt more like an afterthought than a valued guest. absolutely disappointed.

The King Suite offered a lovely view and a cozy atmosphere for my short getaway. I appreciated the well-appointed kitchenette with quality tea and coffee options—it made mornings much better. Location was a big plus. just a quick stroll to Kew Gardens, perfect for early visits. The decor had charming touches like real flowers and interesting design memorabilia. an upgrade for the shower would be beneficial. the water splashed everywhere, creating a mess. Some areas, especially the entrance, felt worn and could use a fresh coat of paint. The noise from the nearby road was a minor annoyance, especially when trying to wind down at night. Breakfast not being included felt off since it was advertised as part of the package. Still, the ambiance and ease of access to local attractions added to the overall experience.

Charming stay right by the gardens
I really enjoyed my stay in a cozy room decorated in a simple 1930s style. The fridge was handy for storing drinks, and fresh milk was provided daily for my tea—such a nice touch! Plus, being just a short walk from both Kew Gardens and the local train station made exploring so easy.

The desserts were absolutely delightful, especially with the lovely fresh milk provided for tea! the cozy 1930s decor in my room made the stay feel extra special, and how close it was to Kew Gardens made exploring a breeze.
But, I was bummed that breakfast wasn't served until 10 am, way past when I needed to leave. And with no dinner options after 6 pm, it felt more like a room than a full hotel experience, though everything still shined.
